This year saw the return of our annual Alumni Football Tournament, now rebranded as the Alumni Festival, where we extended an invitation to family members and alumni who were not participating in the tournament. We welcomed 94 Alumni football players from the Classes of 1994 to 2024. Players enjoyed some good football but also showed that genuine sense of camaraderie.
This year also marked a significant milestone in the tournament’s history: the debut of a women’s volleyball team, with 12 Alumnas, primarily from the Class of 1995.
In total, the tournament welcomed 268 attendees, including players, supporters, family members and former staff who were warmly greeted.
The day began at 10 o’clock, with a full schedule of matches and activities running throughout until 5. In addition to the sporting fixtures, the event offered plenty of entertainment for children, including an inflatable castle, popcorn and candyfloss, which proved to be very popular! A relaxed al fresco lunch provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, share stories, and enjoy a few hours in the company of the wider St. Julian’s community.
We look forward to our next Alumni Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 30 May 2026 and those planning ahead on Saturday, 29 May 2027.
