Inaugural London Reunion
On 27 February, the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair, London, was the setting for a special occasion, the first overseas reunion of St. Julian’s Alumni hosted by the Head. This event marked a significant milestone, serving as a reminder of the deep sense of belonging that St. Julian’s inspires in its alumni.
The gathering brought together a diverse group of former students spanning several decades, with alumni from as early as the Class of 1960 right through to the Class of 2024. Some travelled from across the UK, while others made their way from much further afield, including the United States and Denmark.
Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was one of warmth and nostalgia. Stories were exchanged, memories relived, and laughter echoed through the room as old friends reconnected and new friendships were formed. One of the most touching moments came when the Alumni who had not seen one another in over fifty years reunited.
The sense of occasion was further heightened during presentations from the Head, the Chair of the Board, Teresa Roque (Class of 1989) and the Chair of the Alumni Subcommittee of the Board, Daniel Ernst (Class of 1995). We showed a video about the School, reminding everyone of the values and spirit that continue to define St. Julian’s. This was followed by singing the School Song, "It’s a Long Road to Freedom," which brought a wave of emotion.
Plans are already in place for the next Alumni reunion, which will take place on Thursday, 4 February 2027, again at The Lansdowne Club. We hope to see many familiar faces there, and many new ones. Until then, we carry with us the memories of this unforgettable day and look forward to many more moments of reconnection in the years to come.
